These metal halide grow lights are no exception and are manufactured to optimise the performance of plants in vegetative growth, putting out plenty of plant usable blue spectrum light which is needed for this stage of development.
Light from metal halides is measured in units called Kelvins. This is a colour temperature measurement, with a higher Kelvin rating corresponding to a greater amount of plant usable blue spectrum light. These Sunmaster 1000W metal halide grow lights are rated at 7200K (Kelvin) and are at the higher end of the scale. A high Kelvin rate with 1000W of growing power will ensure optimum growth and will really give your plants a boost.
Experienced growers will often include a mixture of 7200K metal halides and HPS lighting to their growing environment to provide as much plant usable light as possible. A ratio of one metal halide for every two HPS bulbs is commonly used as this is a tried and tested way to boost performance and really get the most out of your plants.
