Bluelab Soil pH Meter
If you need to measure the pH level of soil, media or substrates, then the Bluelab Soil pH Meter is just what you need! Our Meter can be used by everybody from the home enthusiast through to more robust commercial applications.
In soils or growing media, pH strongly influences the availability of nutrients and the presence of micro-organisms and plants in the soil. Certain plants require a particular pH range to enable the required nutrients to be consistently available to the plant. If the solution is too acidic or too alkaline it can cause "lock up" – a situation which restricts certain elements essential for growth from being absorbed by the root structure. This in turn reduces plant heath and performance. Deficiencies in the required elements become apparent in plant growth and can lead to crop failure
PH levels have a significant effect on the absorption rates of certain nutrients and on micro-organisms present in the substrate. For this reason, knowing about the pH levels of your growing medium and adjusting nutrient pH levels accordingly is an essential part of indoor growing. The Bluelab Soil pH Meter can provide you with information about the acidity or alkalinity of your growing medium on an ongoing basis. All you need to do is take a sample, use the supplied ‘dibber’ to drive an opening into it and insert the probe. Turn the unit on and you’ll get a clear, accurate read-out providing you with all the information you need to adjust feeding procedures accordingly.
The Bluelab Soil pH Meter features a separate probe so you can take readings and look at the display at the same time, making it much more comfortable to use than other soil pH testing equipment, something that is helped with the inclusion of a more than adequate 2.0m cable.
Bluelab take the guesswork out of growing with their excellent range of testing equipment – the Soil pH Meter provides you with accurate information about the acidity or alkalinity of your soil or coco. Just use the supplied dibber to make a hole in the growing medium, dip in the probe tip and turn it on – simple as that!
